"I do what I do because my body and soul lives for the music. I would not be able to survive with out music in my life, period." Says Shane Morgan from Manchester, New York, whose musical track continues the course charted by direct ascendants. “My Grandfather and Uncles had a band while I was growing up called, ‘Charlie and the Wagoneers.’ That is where I got my passion for performing and singing. My mom and me would always have the stereo going and singing to every song that came on the radio.”

“ I was six years old when I began playing. I just sat down at my mom’s piano one day and started to play. She came running into the room and immediately started to give me lessons. She has always been there for me and supports me in all my decisions that I have made so far in my life," Shane recalls. "She raised me. "I was very outgoing and sometimes wild and crazy growing up. I spent everyday outside either riding my bike, hanging out with friends or just playing guitar and singing.”

“We continued living in Manchester till February 1986 when my parents divorced and we moved to Duluth, Minnesota. Moving closer to my mom’s side of the family, influenced my love for music. It really shaped my life in a big way. We lived next door to my Grandparents who I love so much. My Grandfather and I would sit and listen and talk about music almost every day. He is the one who taught me how to play guitar. I then picked up the violin in the third grade and played all the way through High School. I lived in Duluth until May 2001 when I joined the United States Air Force."

After receiving an honorable discharge from the service, Shane once again strapped a guitar to his back, settling down in Nashville where he can be seen performing anywhere from Douglas Corner and the Foo Bar to Norms River Road House. He recently released his album 'Keep Doing What Your Doing'.

"Performing and putting on a show makes me feel alive," he exudes. "I do my own thing and I don’t let what's 'hot and now' influence me. There is no POP in my Country at all. I love all genres but Country is what I have the biggest passion in performing and writing."

Shane, a 29 year-old divorced father of two, says that his goal is to make music that makes people happy, “Music lets people know that there is hope out there and even when things look the worst you can always put on your favorite song and things always look a little brighter. You only get one chance so get out there and do whatever makes you happy and feel alive because there is no take two in life."
