Singer and songwriter Loretta Hagen brings her unique tales with twang to the northern reaches of New Jersey where she was raised by musically inclined parents. Loretta spent six years in Nashville perfecting her skills before journeying back to her home state with the confident tread of experience.

Since then she and her band Down To the Wire have earned acclaim from venues in both New Jersey and New York. Loretta has played for the openings of such performers as Richie Havens and Johnny Winter and her recent CD "Something More" has vocals provided by Bob Delevante of The Delevantes. Her melodies are now carried on college and Internet radio spanning the U.S. and Europe. After signing with Single Barrel Music Publishing she won the ASCAP Plus Award for 2002 to 2007, for alternative market exposure.

Loretta's next release will be featured along with those from such legends as Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard on an Alzheimer's film documentary. The title song, "Sundown Till Dawn" she dedicates to her mother who five years ago was diagnosed with the disease. All proceeds are to go to Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease charities.
