Hello fellow music lovers! My name is Gaye, and I am a passionate fan of music. Discovering music and new singer/songwriters is a major hobby of mine. Since I'm enthusiastic about what I like... and a writer by nature, I thought I'd share my fabulous finds by writing music articles. At the age of ten years old, I flipped over the Beatles, and I've been seeking great music ever since. I grew up listening to classic rock, like the Eagles, the ultimate in songwriters like James Taylor and even branched into heavier rock like Led Zeppelin. I'm broad minded now and also love country, country rock, pop, alternative, folk and Americana music.

I enjoy travel, and like combining travel with musical endeavors. When in the Caribbean, I seek out the local Reggae, Calypso and Soca music. When traveling in the South, I look for funky blues, jazz and bluegrass. I adore the sound of Spanish flamenco guitar. I have met wonderful, down-to-earth singer/songwriters at local music festivals and events like 'The Rock Boat' that bring fans and artists together in a comfortable-easy setting. I found that singer/songwriters are generally happy to tell their stories of the trials and tribulations of songwriting and making music! I love hearing the stories in the artist's own voice and in a "sitting in their living room' chatting style. That's why I'm a big fan of "Music's Rising Stars' online magazine. Getting up close and personal with the musicians and sharing with others is what the magazine's all about!
