Multi-talented Sam Stone is primed and ready to take the world by storm. With numerous acting credits to his name already, Sam is also a singer/ songwriter coming into his own.. His heartthrob good looks and talent seem destined to propel him to the top of whatever art form he chooses. His journey started very early, “I was about two years old,” he claims. “I’ve always liked entertaining people, whether I was singing or acting. I like to make people smile. I think I get that from my Grandpa Stone, who was a vaudeville performer, and my dad, whose an awesome singer who performed all over Southern California with bands. As soon as I told my mom and dad that I wanted to be on TV which was when I was about three or four, they started helping me, and we’ve worked through this together all of these years, and I’m still loving it!”
Sam was determined to learn his chosen profession well, he explains, “I was a member of The South Bay Children’s Choir for a few years when I was real little, my dad’s an awesome vocal and music coach, and working with him has been really helpful. I took a few years of guitar lessons. As far as my acting, I’ve studied with The Lee Strasberg Institute for about 4 years and I’ve taken some acting and commercial workshops. I’ve worked with some amazing songwriters too! I also think that each movie set and TV set I’ve been on, or live stage performance I’ve done is always great training.”
His life was good off the stage as well. “I was born in 1993 to a loving mom and dad. I’ve always been a pretty happy kid. I don’t have any brothers or sisters, but I have cousins, aunts, uncles and my mom and dad, who I’ve always had a lot of fun with. I have a nice, close family. I mainly grew up in Southern California, but we lived in Northern California, and lived in a really cool wilderness area near the American River for a few years when I was real small, so I’ve experienced country life and city life! I’ve always gone to public school and enjoyed being with my friends, and I have made some really good ones. Friends are real important to me.”
Sam recently caught the eye of the people at Disney, “I’m the new "Disney XD Channels Rock & Roll Superstar". The sneak peek is currently airing on the Disney Channel, The new Disney XD Channel, Disney XD online and my poster is in magazines and displayed throughout Disneyland!! Watch for the full-length promo on Disney XD beginning February 9, 2009. My management team, Prestige Management, who also manages the top band in the UK, “McFly”, has some exciting stuff coming up for me that will involve Disney and/or Nickelodeon.”
Bringing his musical skills on the guitar, bass and drums, Sam describes his music as, “Entertaining, feel good, melodic, and pretty rockin’. I’ve been playing some local gigs with my new band and some as a solo artist. My goal is to eventually get a record deal and to keep playing music. I want to be the best that I can be and I want to share my talents with as many people as I can.”
Even though Sam stays busy, he manages to find some down time too, “I enjoy artwork, I like to design and draw things. Computer games are fun sometimes, and working on computers. I like collecting kool shoes and clothes too.”
His positive attitude is as charming as his ready smile, ”I’m happy and I just want people to be happy. I love what I do,” he says, “it makes me feel good. Life’s not always easy, but it is what you make it. Make the best of it. Set goals and meet those goals! If there’s something you really want to do in life, at least try!”
